I will disclose brief information on all natural treatments as well as additional remedies to help you get through this period of time.

Why Night Sweats Occur

Night sweats occur because of hormone imbalances in the woman’s body which boosts the metabolism. Another reason night sweats can happen are dysfunctions in the adrenaline glands. What the adrenal glands will do is frequently thrust out extra energy that the body no longer needs as a result of your unbalanced hormones, causing you to sweat at any given time.

All-Natural Things to Take

The most common all-natural treatments are red clover and black cohosh which can be found at your local drugstore and grocery store. Both of these treatments are known for balancing out the hormones to reduce many symptoms that menopause brings. Although I do recommend the two, I prefer that you consult your primary physician or doctor before taking either of them. Sometimes the human body can get minor side effects from even all natural solutions which is due to the fact that, all bodies are different in terms of health.

Excercising

This time in your life needs to be the healthiest time if you want your 2 to 10 year menopausal period to go by smoothly. So what you’ll need is plenty of green vegetables high in zinc, omega-3’s, vitamin E, and a good exercise schedule. Two of the most common menopausal exercises are yoga and Pilates. If you’re not comfortable doing either or, you will want to run, walk, or swim for at least 30 minutes a day.

Overall, my top recommendation combines black cohosh, damaiana, vitamin E, with other natural ingredients & comes with an online weight loss membership.

This may be the best remedy you’ve came across. Don’t think so?

Hot Flashes, night sweats, trouble sleeping, vaginal dryness, and other symptoms can occur before or during the onset of Menopause. While none sound fun, menopause is natural.

Concerns have been raised over Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) safety when used long-term. This and other factors have some women experiencing symptoms moving to alternative therapies in the fight against symptoms of menopause. These women prefer to fight “naturally,” rather than suffer through it.

While there has been limited research on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) related to menopause treatment, and results have been inconclusive for a number of reasons, some women swear by one or more of these (taken from a MayoClinic.com page on Menopause and Alternative medicine, and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine’s web page on Menopausal Symptoms and CAM):

Phytoestrogens – Estrogens that occur naturally in certain foods. Types are isoflavones, and lignans. Isoflavones are found in soybeans, chickpeas and other legumes. Ligans occur in flaxseed, whole grains, and some fruits and vegetables. RISK=possible estrogen-like effects, so caution should be used related to breast cancer, etc.

Also Red clover has been tied to harmful effects to hormone-sensitive tissue, such as the breasts or uterus.

Vitamin E – May provide relief from mild hot flashes for some women. RISK=taking more than 400 IU per day of vitamin E supplements may not be safe.

Black Cohosh – Used widely in Europe for treating hot flashes, and popular in the US as well, its safety record has been good. RISK=has not been proven effective in treating hot flashes, and may cause liver damage.

Dong quai root – Taken to reduce hot flashes. RISK=if taking blood thinners (ex., warfarin), could increase the effects of the drug causing possible bleeding complications.

Ginseng – May help with mood symptoms, sleep disturbances, and overall sense of well-being. RISK=may not help with hot flashes.

Kava – May decrease anxiety. RISK=associated with liver disease, and may not help decrease hot flashes.

Soy – Could provide relief from hot flashes. RISK=long term use has been associated with the thickening of the uteral lining.

Regardless of which therapy you decide to try, or have heard is a Godsend, it is important to remember that every woman is different, and what may work for one person may not work for you.

Considering the risks weighed against possible benefits is a personal decision. Also, discuss it all with your doctor to ensure no conflicts either with other drugs or therapies they may have prescribed, or ones you are trying yourself.

If you’re wondering how to stop night sweats from menopause you’ve come to the right place. There’s nothing worse than not being able to sleep in the middle of the night, then waking up from the two hour nap you were able to take, tired, moody, and preparing for hot flashes during the day while cooking breakfast. I’m going to help you conquer these night sweats and restore your happiness back to the way it was prior to menopause.

Why Does It Occur?

Hot flashes and night sweats occur due to hormone imbalances that cause useless adrenaline energy to be released at night and during the day. Your adrenal glands will often receive the wrong signals causing your blood to move faster through your body, therefore, producing sweat. This is a natural 2 to 10 year occurrence in a woman’s body around her late 40s and late 50s, but I will help you deal with it now.

Black Cohosh & Red Clover

Red clover and black cohosh are two of the most common treatments menopausal women take to reduce hormone imbalances. Once you reduce hormone and balances, often mood swings will lessen along with hot flashes and night sweats. You can find either one of them at your local drugstore, however, I do recommend consulting your doctor before taking these all natural treatments as you would regular medication.

Additional Info

At the time of menopause, you want to keep your body healthy by eating green vegetables high in zinc, reducing your sugar intake while eliminating soda completely, exercise in the form of yoga, Pilates, running, and swimming at least 30 minutes a day.

Will you continue to allow your menopause symptoms to keep you from happiness and the great times you used to enjoy? It should be out of the question if you want your intimacy back, your hot flashes gone, along with anxiety, mood swings, and everything else menopause brings. Menozac is an all natural supplement that combines Black Cohosh, vitamin E, soy, and similar all natural ingredients to decrease your symptoms more efficiently. You can get Menozac along with an award winning, lifetime membership, online weight loss program to help with menopausal weight gain by clicking here.

Don’t spend another night unhappy wondering how to stop night sweats from menopause. You’ve stopped at the right place.

Miserable in menopause, Elizabeth Alsgaard pondered an awful choice: Drenching hot flashes or hormone therapies that might raise the risk of cancer. What former actress Suzanne Somers raved about held much more appeal _ custom-mixed "bioidentical" hormones, just like ones the body makes.

"Anything I can put into my body that’s natural has to be better," said Alsgaard, a California audiologist who admitted having "no knowledge base to go on other than fear" when she took Somers’ advice.

Millions of women have tried custom-compounded hormones or herbal supplements like black cohosh and red clover since 2002, when a big federal study found risks from traditional hormone replacement therapy, or HRT.

Alternative remedies are especially popular with upscale, educated women who like to research and find their own solutions to medical problems. They like the idea of personalized treatments versus off-the-shelf prescription drugs.

However, instead of a safer option, they are getting products of unknown risk that still contain the estrogen many of them fear, women’s health experts say.

"Misinformation is rampant" about bioidenticals, said Dr. JoAnn Manson, preventive medicine chief at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. "It really is buyer beware."

She and other experts explain:

_"Bioidentical" is a marketing term that has no accepted medical meaning. Its implied benefit is not unique to alternative remedies; many prescription drugs contain hormones that chemically match estrogens and progesterones made naturally by the body.

_Custom-compounded hormones are not approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration and have not been proved safe or effective. They may carry the same cancer and heart risks as traditional treatments and have had even less testing to find out.

_Hormone preparations do not need to be customized for each woman; a few standard doses work for almost everyone, medical experts say. The saliva tests that some women are given to tailor formulas are of dubious value because hormone levels fluctuate widely throughout the day.

_Compounding pharmacists use such different methods that a customized prescription can contain widely varying amounts of hormones depending on who fills it.

_Many compounders use estriol, a form of estrogen not approved for sale in the United States. The FDA is in a battle with compounding pharmacies over its use.

The bottom line?

"Women need to understand there’s no rigorous evidence these preparations are any more effective or any safer than traditional hormone therapy. In fact, there’s much less evidence for efficacy and very little research on long-term safety," said Manson, who has no industry ties and was a key researcher in the big federal study that warned women in 2002 of the health risks from long-term hormone use.

For years, medical groups have warned against custom-compounded hormones. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has denounced claims about their safety. The American Medical Association has urged more FDA oversight. The Federal Trade Commission has filed complaints against online sellers who made health claims for natural progesterone creams without supporting evidence.

In 2001, the government tested 29 products from compounding pharmacies and found that one-third did not meet standard quality benchmarks, including potency problems, Manson writes in her book, "Hot Flashes, Hormones and Your Health."

That has not stopped their popularity, and Somers has promoted them in several best-selling books and on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" earlier this year.

"I laugh when they call me a quack," said Somers, who rubs hormones on her arms, injects them vaginally and takes some 60 supplement pills each day. In a phone interview, Somers said she is not trying to play doctor but to share with women what worked for her.

The issue flared last year, when the FDA declared that custom-mixed hormones were no safer than traditional treatments and warned pharmacies to stop using estriol, which is not approved in the United States for any use. (Most traditional menopause therapies use a different form of estrogen with a similar name _ estradiol.)

The industry claimed it was being persecuted and fought back. In full-page ads in major newspapers, several alternative medicine groups claimed that estriol is safe, criticized "synthetic, hyper-expensive" prescription drugs, and asked, "Why is the FDA so hostile to ‘natural’ medicine?"

There are several thousand compounding pharmacies in the United States and hormones are a significant part of their business, said L.D. King, executive director of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists in Missouri City, Texas. No one knows how many women use these products, but "we believe the FDA action on the estriol issue would have affected hundreds of thousands of women," King said.

A group of nine compounding pharmacies sued the FDA. After a murky ruling by a federal court in Louisiana centering on federal versus states’ authority, neither side appealed, King said.

"It gets complicated and there’s not a win," he said. "We continue to advocate that FDA’s action is wrong."

Alsgaard was not aware of the flap. She was 52 and living in San Diego when she stopped taking birth control pills, and menopause symptoms "hit me like a brick wall." Her doctor, a specialist in women’s health, urged traditional hormone replacement therapy.

"She was just so aggressive it really flipped me out," said Alsgaard, who feared a cancer risk from the pills. After reading one of Somers’ books, Alsgaard went to a different doctor specializing in bioidentical hormones.

"She spoke at a physician’s level, talked about metabolic things I didn’t understand and sold me a couple hundred dollars of supplements I never took," Alsgaard said. "I was so desperate it was like, ‘OK, OK, just give me whatever I need.’"

Although Alsgaard did not use the supplements, she did spend about $1,000 for saliva tests, hormone creams and custom-compounded hormone pills the doctor prescribed. Six months later, she was still miserable.

Disgusted with the doctor and in the middle of moving to Los Angeles, she found a new doctor and asked again for a natural remedy, believing those are safer than traditional hormone pills.

"He did a lot more extensive workup on me and put me on a bioidentical implant, a pellet implanted into the hip," she said.

Pellets containing estrogen, testosterone or both are the latest craze in this field. They are implanted just under the skin every few months under a local anesthetic, and are not FDA-approved for treating menopause. Problems that have been reported include difficulty removing the pellets if the therapy has to be discontinued, infection or pain at the injection site and fluctuating blood levels of estrogen, including a potentially high cumulative effect over several years.

Alsgaard did not know the pellets lack FDA approval. Her first, implanted in April, has done the trick, she said.

"I feel awesome. I have no night sweats, no hot flashes, no mood swings. After feeling so terrible, I’d forgotten how good it feels to feel normal," she said.

Whether her estrogen pellet is any safer than traditional estrogen pills is unknown.

Her physician, Dr. Kevin Pimstone, an internist at UCLA, said hormone pellets are "a very small part of my practice" _ a few patients a month.

"I’m a really conventional doctor who offers this to patients who ask for it," he said. "I don’t think there’s any evidence that bioidentical hormones are any safer than conventional hormones."

FDA is the Food And Drug Administration. They regulate the Food and the Drugs that are allowed to be marketed into the United States. So, they are the ones that say if you can or cannot sale a product to the consumers. The objective is to keep drugs safe.. But they actually are very good at keeping the market free of competition. Not enough room here for that discussion so. Here is the post.

Miserable in menopause, Elizabeth Alsgaard pondered an awful choice: Drenching hot flashes or hormone therapies that might raise the risk of cancer. What former actress Suzanne Somers raved about held much more appeal — custom-mixed "bioidentical" hormones, just like ones the body makes.

"Anything I can put into my body that’s natural has to be better," said Alsgaard, a California audiologist who admitted having "no knowledge base to go on other than fear" when she took Somers’ advice.

STUDY: Firmly ties hormone use to breast cancer

Q&A: When changes come, your body knows it

• "Bioidentical" is a marketing term that has no accepted medical meaning. Its implied benefit is not unique to alternative remedies; many prescription drugs contain hormones that chemically match estrogens and progesterones made naturally by the body.

• Custom-compounded hormones are not approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration and have not been proved safe or effective. They may carry the same cancer and heart risks as traditional treatments and have had even less testing to find out.

• Hormone preparations do not need to be customized for each woman; a few standard doses work for almost everyone, medical experts say. The saliva tests that some women are given to tailor formulas are of dubious value because hormone levels fluctuate widely throughout the day.

• Compounding pharmacists use such different methods that a customized prescription can contain widely varying amounts of hormones depending on who fills it.

• Many compounders use estriol, a form of estrogen not approved for sale in the United States.

In 2001, the government tested 29 products from compounding pharmacies and found that one-third did not meet standard quality benchmarks, including potency problems, Manson writes in her book, Hot Flashes, Hormones and Your Health.

That has not stopped their popularity, and Somers has promoted them in several best-selling books and on The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this year.

(Most traditional menopause therapies use a different form of estrogen with a similar name — estradiol.)

"I was so desperate it was like, ‘OK, OK, just give me whatever I need."’

Kevin Pimstone, an internist at UCLA, said hormone pellets are "a very small part of my practice" — a few patients a month.

Night sweats in elderly women usually happen during the menopausal stage. In most women, it will occur anywhere from their mid-40s to their late 50s and in very rare cases, age 35. This whole process happens over a 2 to 10 year period and it can be extremely overwhelming if not treated correctly. I’m going to briefly disclose some information that will most likely help you during this stage.

Why They Happen During menopause, a major change in hormones will occur in the woman’s body causing the hormones to become imbalanced, thus, leading to extra side effects such as mood swings, anxiety, hot flashes in the daytime, fatigue, vaginal dryness, weight gain, and water retention. This shift in hormones causes adrenaline glands in the body to randomly push out unneeded energy causing the body to erratically sweat.

Supplements to Help Black cohosh, red clover, and Damiana are all great drugstore products that can help through menopause. Red clover and Black cohosh will reduce hot sweats very effectively. Damiana is recommended to boost intimacy because menopause often causes the woman to become less intimate. I recommend speaking with your doctor or physician before trying any because, even an all-natural supplement can have minor side effects.

Eating & Exercising Maintaining a healthy weight is essential, so you want to add more calcium to your diet, green tea, vegetables high in zinc, and the regular eight glasses of water daily. You want to at least exercise for 30 minutes a day in the form of running, walking, swimming, Pilates, or yoga. All of this will help your menopausal period go by a lot smoother.

Don’t spend another day unhappy, there’s finally help for night sweats in elderly women. You’ve came to the right place.
